Lose Weight to Prevent Risks to your Health

“Yes, Belly Fat Is Ugly but it is Much More Than just a Vanity-Issue– Excess Stomach Fat Is a Serious Health Risk…”

Whilst you may not have as much belly fat as the obese man in the photo – Don’t think that your not at risk!

If you have excess fat, then it is critical that you read this entire page, understand the risks and take action to protect yourself…

You may or may not find it shocking to discover that the vast majority of the people living in Western societies today have abdominal fat issues. Regardless, this is a true fact, and it’s been estimated that as many as 70% of the population in these societies would be considered to be overweight if not obese.

An example of these Western societies would obviously be United States, Canada, UK and Australia, but there are more. The majority of people who are suffering from having too much stomach fat typically regard it as just a vanity issue, but it is much more in reality. They get all bummed out because it’s hiding their abdominals, and as a result become very self-conscious about exposing any of their body in public.

The issue however goes a lot deeper than that, and a lot of people don’t realize how dangerous it truly is. It isn’t just an issue of the fat being ugly, but scientific research actually proves that while too much body fat is indeed very unhealthy, there is also a significant health risk for individuals that simply have some belly fat.

Your abdominal area has two different types of fat present. The first, which is subcutaneous fat, is the one that you can visibly see covering up those abdominal muscles. It lies directly beneath the skin and is extremely difficult to get rid of.

There is another type of body fat that exists within the abdominal area known as visceral fat. This is the type of fat that lies deep within the abdomen, underneath the muscle and within all of the inner organs. Typically the men who have those big beer bellies that stick way out there and are hard if you poke them, have a real problem with this visceral fat.

Both of these fats have the potential to create some serious health issues for individuals, but the one that really needs to be addressed due to the danger of it is the visceral fat. It has been found to be a lot more dangerous than subcutaneous fat, although both of them can increase chances of people developing diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, sleep apnea, diabetes, stroke, cancer, and many other serious types of degenerative problems.

When an individual has too much visceral stomach fat, studies have shown that there is typically a high amount of what is known as C-reactive protein, or CRP for short. This protein in essence provides an indication of any inflammation that’s going on in the body of the type which has been linked to many different health issues, including heart disease.

Visceral fat is so dangerous in part because it has been shown in studies to release enormous amounts of those molecules that cause inflammation within your body on a continuous basis.

People who have large concentrations of visceral fat normally suffer from it due to taking in carbohydrates in high doses throughout their life. When carbohydrates are brought into the body in high doses over long periods of time, a resistance to insulin can be developed. Many of the commercial breads that are on the market and other starchy foods are also high in concentrations of high fructose corn syrup which is likewise a major contributor to excess visceral fat according to studies.

A really great way to show your loved ones you care, and to improve the quality of your life, is to get rid of your abdominal fat, and in all reality it should be put at the top of the priority list. Not only will this help you live longer so that you can spend time with the people you love, but it will also allow you to enjoy that time. You’ll also be able to experience that flat stomach that everybody wants and lose the inhibitions you’ve likely had for so long. After all nobody’s ashamed of showing off their flat stomach or six pack abs.

How do I get rid of my stomach fat?

Is there any way that will truly help me to get rid of all this fat? I mean there are tons of gimmicks and hype products out there which all offer “miracle cures” for losing weight, but is there anything that actually WORKS?

Well, first off you are right in holding to your skepticism about miracle weight loss products as there is no simple quick fix solution. Nothing on the market, no pills, supplements, or any other product on the market is going to make getting rid of excess abdominal fat any easier or quicker. Don’t be taken in by any of the gimmicky exercise machines that make claims of getting a flat stomach in a miraculous way either. None of those ab rockers, rollers, or ab belts will ever provide the results they promise. You will never significantly reduce your stomach fat by using these worthless types of contraptions. It just doesn’t work like that.

The only permanent lasting solution to get rid of abdominal fat consistently is by implementing a diet that is very sound in its nutrition, and contains only unprocessed natural foods. It’s also necessary to implement a strategic exercise program that will stimulate your body to create the hormones and metabolic response that is essential in fat loss. You can’t do one without the other if you want to permanently keep off the weight. It has to be a combination of both if you want to get it right.

This has been proven through clinical studies which I have observed. One particular study examined several thousands of participants at one time by putting one group onto a strict diet plan, and the other group into a plan that combined both exercise and diet. Admittedly, there was some progress in the diet only group, but the amount of abdominal fat that was lost was significantly less than what those who participated in the diet and exercise program experienced.

You have to be careful about the type of exercise program that you take on however, as not all exercise plans are made the same. It most often happens that when somebody first starts exercising on their own, they don’t get into a routine that will effectively stimulate the loss of that stubborn abdominal fat. This is something that happens every day in the gym.

It seems I see somebody new walk through the door on a daily basis who will start out with the typical cardio exercises that are really boring and ineffective, then throw in some targeted weight training exercises that they did back in high school which they still believe are effective, but really aren’t, then they’ll even start doing crunches and side bends and really think that they’re really doing something good for their abs. The most common end result of this type of workout plan is frustration and no results. These people always wonder what they were doing wrong and give up in disgust.

Perhaps that was the case with you, and that’s the reason you’re reading this. I have good news for you if it is, as over the past decade I have been doing research on this topic as well as analyzing all the science involved. I have effectively applied all of my research, not only with myself, but also with thousands of clients all over the world in order to truly understand the methods that really work for getting rid of that stubborn abdominal fat.

It became truly obvious after my research that there are two really important things that need to be done in order to get rid of visceral fat within the abdomen, and I have them listed below.

  1. It’s absolutely necessary to use full body resistance training coupled with high intensity exercise. Cardio exercises that are considered low intensity really don’t do anything to get rid of visceral fat. What really works best are the high intensity interval training exercises, or full body weight training programs that will increase your body’s ability to cope with glucose and insulin the way it was meant to. This is crucial in getting rid of visceral fat. Putting your body through these types of high intensity workout programs will also increase the number of hormones in your body that are designed to burn fat, and will make your body a literal visceral fat burning machine.
  2. The next factor that is critically important to getting rid of fat is to control your blood sugar. This will assist in restoring insulin sensitivity, and can be done through proper nutrition. What this specifically means, is that you’re going have to get rid of all of the sugars and refined starches that are currently in your diet. A specifically nasty perpetrator which has to be gotten rid of is high fructose corn syrup since it is just dangerous. You then need to focus on eating such foods as avocados, seeds, nuts, olive oil, free range eggs, fish oils, fatty fish, and coconut fat etc, while at the same time boosting both your fiber and protein intake. Never ever stick to the government recommended diet since it will not do anything to control your blood sugar as it recommends high intakes of grain. Eating those types of starches and carbohydrates will do nothing to help you control your blood sugar and get rid of visceral fat.

If you cut out a lot of the grain-based foods from your diet and focus on getting your carbs from vegetables, and foods like berries that are high in fiber, your body can truly benefit from it and you will be a lot more successful at getting rid of abdominal fat.

I also understand that it is the nature of man to be skeptical about things that sound too good to be true. It’s completely natural for skeptics to wonder if it will actually work for them. I agree that extra stomach fat is the hardest thing to shift! I find after having my daughter, I can tone up every part of my body quite successfully but my tummy is taking sooooo long to get back into shape. I like the idea of having a routine and a Can and Cannot eat list. Trying to lose weight without guidance is really like flying blind so being in an environment where you are given structure and help is so valuable!!

I had no idea that there are two different kinds of fat on the stomach. This article is quite frightening really because most people in my family and friends too, AND myself if I am really honest, could do with working on their stomachs. Type 2 Diabetes is very much on the rise too. Food for thought.

Wow amazing article. Very in depth, thank you. I am going to share with a few men I know. Sometimes they joke about their bellies, but this visceral fat sounds like serious business. Well researched, thank you.

Reducing carb intake another great way to loose fat, especially around the belly area. My problem area is my thighs, so I guess I am lucky in that aspect that I don’t carry my weight in my stomach area.
